On casual days, I typically opt for one of two easy outfits...cut-offs or a simple day dress. As you can see, I went with the shorts for this look. Yellow is one of my favorite colors. It is such a happy color-that pairs well with pretty much anything. One of my favorite ways is to couple it with tan & gold. Its a simple color combo, yet always looks great! (Especially with my blonde hair!)
Moving on...can I just say that I am obsessed with this cross-body bag?! I've had it now for a few months, and it is so useful! I always think that a good handbag is definitely worth spending some dollars on. You will have it for years to come. Actually, I think most accessories are worth spending money on. As long as they are pretty versatile, they will always be a great fallback piece. (I know I personally have inherited some pretty great accessories from my mom & grams that are now vintage pieces, and I love this idea!) Rebecca Minkoff is a great designer. I purchased one of her bags about three years ago, & love it so much that when I saw this one- I knew it was a definite must-have! The spike trend has gained quite a bit of popularity over these past few years. As the seasons pass, its popping up not only on jewelry, but shoulders of shirts, jackets and now handbags. This bag is fierce, yet still quite beautiful in the bright teal.
I'm also obsessed with these sunnies. I've had them now for over a year & they still manage to turn more than a few heads. Prada really stepped it up with this entire collection. The combination of the various colors, circular lens & arm design make them quite stuning. Bravo Prada!
I picked up this amazing necklace when I was visiting Portland. Its such an unusual piece...(I mean its a taxidermied rabbit ha)...& it is made by local Portland artist Lyndsay Levy whose original designs make up the brand Luscious Jewelry. When I travel, I tend to look for items that are somehow tied to the area I'm visiting. Then I'm able to have a great addition to my jewelry collection, while also supporting the local community.
I mostly like to pair items that are quite opposite from each other to make my style a little different from the average joe. Anyways, hope you enjoyed today's look! Happy Friday everyone! I think I'll enjoy mine poolside. :--]
