Welcome to my favorite part of our journey.  This is Prague.  Only five hours southwest of Poland lies the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic.  This was our first stop on our road trip.  I feel very blessed being able to have driven country to country, as I feel we were able to see a lot more than if you were to fly to the destination.  The majority of our drive through Czech was countryside with hills & rolling plains.  After we passed the last highway sign directing us to Praha Centrum, I was simply in awe.  There was so much to look at, I was almost overwhelmed of which way to turn my canon.  So I just kept snapping...left, right, up, in front...every building/statue/place was breath-taking.
For those of you who have traveled to Europe, you probably already know that there are many older buildings with no elevators.  Lucky for us, our medieval apartment was on the top floor with a fantastic view overlooking Karlova street.  Walking up the winding medieval staircase to the apartment was, well, pretty awesome.  This, is of course, until you have enjoyed one too many shots of Becherovka.
On this particular evening, we had just settled in after our drive & were ecstatic to walk through the city streets.  We dined on delicious mustard herring salad washed down with locally brewed Pilsner.  Crossing the Charles Bridge with the twinkling lights sparkling on the Vltava River, I simply fell in love with Praha.
