Photo Diary of Europe: Love for Prague

Monday, November 4, 2013
Love these street signs...this one was where our apt was located in the Staré Mesto, the Old Town.

Karlova Street...enjoying an early morning capuccino.

The gateway to Charles Bridge located in the background.
Prague Cathedral (aka St. Vitus Cathedral) seen from the entrance to Charles Bridge across the Vltava River.

Absinth shops were around every corner.
Enjoying a locally brewed Budweiser, not to be confused with American Budweiser, this one has been around since 1802.

The beginning of Wenceslas Square.  One of the main squares in Prague.
Trdelnik, a yummy pastry topped with sugar & walnut mix, being grilled in Wenceslas Square for tourists like myself.

Can't really go anywhere in Central Europe without enjoying some type of sausage!

Czech National Museum located at the end of Wenceslas Square.

Beauty everywhere you turn.

St. Nicholas Church located in Prague's Lesser Town.

Outside of St. Nicholas Church.

Inside the breath-taking St. Nicholas Church.

We walked & walked the city, now entering Malá Strana, the Lesser Town of Prague.

The oldest Medieval Tavern in Prague.  (Notice the gentleman in the cellar. Ha.)

The walk up to Prague Castle.

Couldn't get enough of the old brick roads!  Think of everyone who has walked on them.  Kings..queens..soldiers..& me!

The view from the top of the stairs!

Inside Prague Castle Walls.

Using the guards as a photo prop.

Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral located within the Prague Castle.

Hiding behind the camera.

Prague.  Where to begin?  I could trace through the 1,100 plus years of Prague's existence in the Czech Republic.  Or, I could go through the history of every building & statue I managed to capture in my thousands of snapshots.  Considering this is my "photo diary of Europe," I instead decided to let you take in the beauty I experienced through some of my favorite photos.  Enjoy!
