The weather has been so great here lately it makes me feel like I'm back in SoCal. Its just warm enough during the day for hitting the beach, but cools down at night with a nice breeze. This is exciting for two reasons: 1): I don't sweat my makeup off during the day & 2): I'm able to wear a few of the cute sweaters I picked up in hopes of a chill. I have to say that there are some clothing pieces I purchase & love them so much due to to their versatility & fit, I feel the need to buy them in every color. Current obsession? The Billabong Laneway shorts pictured above. I have purchased them in two colors so far & still will go back for more. Shorts like these are perfect for the laid back lifestyle I live. I can wear them with a nice top (as seen above), a casual tee, or a sweater (also seen above). They also fit my curves very well because they're a bit longer in the back, yet still short on the sides to keep a short cutoff illusion. (Genius design.)
Another current obsession of mine? These AMAZING sunnies!!! I picked them up while on an unnecessary shopping spree on the Promenade with the besties. They are extra fantastic because the particular color/lens combo is exclusive to Fred Segal. And, the conveyor date is etched on the inside arm along with the words "Los Angeles". Fred Segal is an awesome department store located only in Santa Monica & Hollywood, Ca. The store began in 1960 when Fred Segal opened the world's first jeans-only store. Segal expanded it to having other stores within the department store in which certain employees had items within their own expertise. (Info via Wikipedia.) The stores still remain very unique mainly due to their items' exclusivity & their employees' product knowledge. I mean we seriously wanted to be BFF with the guy who sold me these sunnies...& sold my friend Megan a shirt & baby shoes...basically we would have bought anything we asked him about! He could tell us the history & current info on any brand. I worked in retail for a very long time & truly believe that you should love what you sell. It makes your job that much more enjoyable! It also has helped my closet to keep growing, but hey-thats a different story.

Love the floral top with the cut-offs! Very boho.
