Hello lovahs!  Happy Saturday!  Black Friday, as well as Turkey day have passed & its officially the holidays!  And, I love love love the holidays!  When I lived in Arizona, I always enjoyed dressing warm for the chilly days & walking through the malls & stores sparkling with Christmas cheer.  However, I now live on an island where the weather typically stays the same year-round…and there are no malls around either!  Our largest chain store is Walgreens…you get the picture.  So, the Polish man & I have to make sure to get ourselves into the holiday spirit by making a few of our own traditions.  I will be sharing some of these and a few fun recipes soon.  But, I thought I'd use this week to sum up my trip to Europe!
I'm sure you all know where this is…the spectacular Eiffel Tower.  This was never something on my bucket list.  I always felt there were soooo many other structures that I wanted to see before this one.  But, I cannot explain the feeling I had when I first laid eyes on this sparkling beauty.  Yes, cheesy as it may sound, it is truly breath-taking.  It is surreal to see something that you've only seen in photos & I am so very happy I was able to see it numerous times on our visit!  If your'e ever in Paris, I definitely suggest you go both at night & during the day.  They are two completely different experiences.  My personal fav was at night!  (The photos are below.)
We ran through the streets from the Metro to make it on time for the last ride up the Tower.  It was so magical as we were on the top, the entire Tower began to sparkle all over & the hundreds of people on the grass drinking champagne started cheering!  Unfortunately, we did not have our camera that evening as we were on a date night in the city and decided last minute that was our destination.  So, our iPhones had to do.
The day visit turned out to be so cold & windy that you could feel the floor moving underneath our feet!  Somewhat terrifying for the Polish man-seeing as he is afraid of heights.  But, the magnificent views & the thought of champagne on the top floor of the Eiffel was too tempting to let his fear stop him!  Both experiences were something we will always remember.  Until next time, cheers friends!
